Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2018

2008 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Medium-heavy body. Juicy introduction with a firm, tannic handshake directly thereafter. Nice first impression of the 2018 tasting now but 3-5 years from now likely leads to a better opinion. 4.26.24. — 5 days ago

Pieve Santa Restituta Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2018

The wine is full bodied wine, on nose its big strawberries, vanilla notes, leather and oak. On palate, acidity is medium+, chewy, creamy, firm structure, long finish, big fruits of course. This is a beautiful wine, considering 2018 is not an easy year for montalcino. Decant time is 1 hour, enjoy it now or keep it for 2-3 years. Cheers!! 🍷 — 3 hours ago

Conti Costanti

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2012

Previous tasting note here was for October 2022. Aromas of menthol , plum skins and friable soil. Medium bodied palate showing a strangely sweet chocolate character amongst the savouriness. A few years left in the drinking window. Have the last one in 2+ years. — 11 days ago

Poggio Antico

Altero Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2015

Dark ruby color. Deep aromas of dried cherries, prunes, orange zest, tobacco and leather. The bold palate features dried dark cherries, ripe plum, black currant, coffee, mint, baking spices and vanilla. Long and velvety finish. Very concentrated and bold yet the tannins and texture are quite soft. Fresh acidity and wonderful balance. Full bodied and lush. Excellent! Thanks for the bottle, Kase! — 16 days ago

Vintage 1975 | Perfect balance, enormous rich, best wine tasted this year. Tasted next to Barolo and Rioja, the Brunello impressed me most. What a wine! — a day ago

Casanova di Neri

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

Really very nice and giving quite generously even at this relatively young age. Good sign for 2019 in general. Great depth, nice darker red fruit and flowers, and good acid on the finish with some real seamlessness. Quite enjoyable. — 13 days ago
