Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Tasted blind . Medium garnet , garnet, terracotta rim . Quite spicy, cedar, red cherry. Quite ripe cherry , cedar and cut herbs . Fresh acidity , quite sweet on the palate , ripe tannins . Ok length . Medium bodied , won’t need that much more time . From now and over the next 10 years .

Plenty of personality on the nose, inviting and welcoming. Clean and fresh in the mouth and has very good balance and is pleasurable. Integrated and silky tannins give depth and lingering finish. Liked it a lot.

Medium ruby quite wide garnet rim . Spiced red cherry , strawberry and , red rose , fresh herbs, lightly smoky almost balsamic touch adds to the complexity . Richer fruits in the palate, red cherry, raspberry, cranberry , ripe and juicy . Touch of liquorice and spice with that fresh herb element. . Very good refreshing acidity and noticeable but ripe tannins . Long and moreish on the palate , obviously very young though involving and enjoyable to drink at this stage. Elegant, with finesse , though with the fruit profile obviously from a warm vintage . Will undoubtedly improve over the next 5 years and plateau for a further 10.

Young but already delivering high standard. Fruit, backing spices and grippy tannins.

Huge on the palate. Delicious.
