Very well made but not what I want from wine. I have posted how much I enjoy my beer in this style and if I tasted this blind I would have identified as such. Strong acidic backbone with complex flavors. Enjoyed but I can obtain the same flavor profile from other beverages. My score reflects how well this was executed . — 2 years ago
Deep purple with slight orange aura. High alcohol at 14.5%. Cassis, leather, clay on the nose. Flavours of dark plum, cigar, and cassis. Peppery and savoury. Medium body with cigar length. Refined and soft tannins. Give me a steak! AU$40 from Dan Murphy — 3 years ago
Let’s just say that this is not your average pink blush, this very unique Rosé from the grand master of Rioja, R Lopez de Heredia, is absolutely outstanding. An admirable wine with a meditative aura. Perhaps the best (non-Champagne) Rosé that I’ve encountered.
The 2010 (!) vintage was aged for 4 years in old American oak and 7 years in bottle. Despite its age the fruit profile is shining with a very intense profile of dried strawberries, orange zest, toffee, fennel seeds, before revealing its mature side with an elegant portion of potting soil, tobacco and a slight minty volatile lift.
Extraordinary concentration on the palate, full bodied and well built with a creamy toffee like mid palate. But there is nerve and tension in the center with a slight grip that brings balance and nuance across a complex evolving finish — 5 years ago
Blood red, with maximum density. Rosemary, plum-prune, sage and thyme, blackberry, black cherry, black pepper, cassis, violets, piebald earth and a touch of cranberry aromatically. Medium mouthfeel of elegance, and satin-y tannins despite its youth. Smoky raspberry sporting a cranberry aura, black currant leaf, light cassis, and roasted lamb with the lightest mint. Fantastic pomerol at a great price point. Hold this for another five years at least, and you will be well rewarded. Otherwise decant and serve with rustic fare smothered in olive oil! Brilliant. — 7 years ago
Loved this as a child. But after having this on tap, I was loathe to revisit the bottle, but it found its way home, so I will raise it. Perfect balance of long-hang merengue and lively golden cats eye with a tinge of greenish fire. Yeastbomb nose with a powerful ripe lemon aura. Drops of tangerine, grapefruit zest, lemon poppyseed cakes, pineapple and lillies. Nice, ‘I am beer’ intro of iron and gummy yeast, turns malty and unctuous with brioche, orange peel, toothpick, baked orchard fruits, metallic skim of caviar shimmering atop a soft pretzel. — 7 years ago
Testé pour Noël 2018 avec tourte au canard. Rond, fruité notes de fruits rouges. "Un bon 9" aura dit Jérôme. — 8 years ago

Graphite and raisin, fig and marinated porcini, smoky dried cherries, black pepper on grilled beef fat, toasted sesame, dried black and red currants, all within an aura of damson and violet and honeyed rose petal. Palate leaps with damson and dried and fresh bing cherry, dried spiced plum, cedar and dried lavender, black olive, moist tobacco, and perfectly toned tannins which come off as a separate, undefinable taste of fruit skin extraction with stunning depth; tea leaves meet dried blackberry in a redwood stand. Soft date and creamy fig follow to a tart raspberry end.

1982 vintage. Cinnamon and baked cherry nose with specks of pepper; eucalyptus aura shimmering. Rye bread with plum reduction, dusty cedar, dehydrated blackberry, broiled blueberry, reflective graphite glimmers, toasted wheat, holly leaf. Baked bing and raspberry with dried plum skin; black currant reduction with all kinds of legs. Sage and dandelion leaf, dried black mushroom, bitter blueberry, graphite gravy, and a side of pomegranate. So fun to taste this legendary vintage. Seems to be in the perfect place now.

Special Wine. This Teranino is a sweet dessert wine from Dalmatia. Hints of berries, cinnamon, spicy, called “wine for ladies” by the locals. Special experience from an emerging wine region. Autoctone. — 7 years ago
To celebrate my 9,000 reviews on vivino, here is a beautiful Pinot Noir.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong fruity nose with bing cherries, raspberries, sweet strawberries, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blueberries, black cherries, light earth, herbs, spices, vanilla, cedar, black pepper, light cola, dark coffee and licorice. black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Pinot Noir from Burgundy is already drinking very nicely, but still extremely young. Well balanced and smooth with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
I had it blind right out of the bottle. That was a nice surprise. I called 2018 Burgundy Pinot Noir, but I did not see this kind of bottle coming... What a great experience to blind taste such an iconic wine.
There is always an aura when drinking these kind of wines, but drinking them blind, gives you a perspective that might be missed otherwise.
Needed 2 hours in the decanter to open up properly, and bring more complexity. Much better once it opens up.
Robert Parker 94 points.
I had an older vintage of this wine a year ago, and it is such a different wine. Will continue to age nicely in the next 30 to 40 years.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Ruby colour of beautiful intensity. Peppery nose, fresh red and black fruits, animal notes, bacon, and smoked. A racy, straight Cornas. Velvety mouth texture. Syrah as we like it. 2014 a vintage a priori not obvious, which will have ended up finding its balance in its ninth year.
— 3 years ago
Tart introduction and then soft strawberries and cranberries on the tongue. Quick kick of tartness again as it ends. But the color! Beautiful blue-violet aura in the glass. — 6 years ago
Another day of powering through the stash to make room for baby stuffs! Luckily just an 8.3 abv. version of this big turkey. Gulp. Apple-cherry in bourbon compote/mincemeat pie plus Old fashioned/new fangled with a delicious root beer streak and rich vanilla aura softening a coriander prickle. Orange peel and fresh pear bent on being brandy. Coffee candies swim in bourbon syrup, over cooked chocolate pie, and pecan pie under cream. Vanilla throughout. Pleasant enough to softly pull your guard down and adumbrate an evening in warm robes of holiday evocations. — 7 years ago
