Ripe red plum meat begin the journey of this wine, through the nostrils, lending a great hand with the dark fruit laden heavy bodied wine, with oil brined black olive, and prairie grown herbs.
This year must have been spot on, because this is great juice, with lingering tones of eucalyptus like staves. — a day ago
In the name of science, a few champagnes/sparkling wines were sampled today in an effort to help a friend for comparative research reasons. Hard way to spend a Monday...
Another new producer to me. Tasted next to the vintage Paul Goerg, they were very similar, with this one showing a bit more ripeness from the fruit. More lemon dominant with biscuit, orange honey and crushed flower. Thanks @Keith Fisher — 4 days ago
— 18 days ago
Solidly built, discreetly perfumed, honestly presented. Not trying to be perfect. Its aromatic elements are completely coupled with the structural units. — 3 days ago
An exceptionally elegant, old school Chianti with a great combination of power and finesse. Intensely palate-coating black cherry, violets, cinnamon, anise and peppermint candy. Very long and vibrant finish. Some subtle nuances of orange rind, menthol and fresh herbs. This wine is supercharged with acidity and freshness, making it very hard to put down. Absent from my notes was any palpable sense of new oak. Those who appreciate this style will want to drink the whole bottle. Bravo! — 6 days ago
Really cool; medium bodied and viscous with nice acidity; well spiced spicy orchard fruit with a steely edge. 1st domestic Muller I think? — 16 days ago
A touch more flamboyant than the 2014 (No. 1), this No. 2 vintage is still all about the red fruit. Less of the Cabernet Franc coming through on the nose, but it seemed to me to be more intense with some floral tickling around the edges. This would be amazing with a steak. — 4 days ago
