A to Z Wineworks Chardonnay Oregon 2018

Pepper notes at finish, smooth, lovely. Pork, seafood, or buttery pasta would pair well. — 12 days ago

Dos Cabezas Wineworks

El Norte Red Blend 2014

Cimarron Vineyard. 50/24/9/9/8 blend of Monastrell, Garnacha, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Counoise. 15% alc/vol. I love the screw cap (seriously). Purple-red, light to moderate pigment extraction, very good clarity. Red fruit “fruit leather” and funk in nose. Cherry, raspberry flavors, cola with length on finish, nice acidity with light skin astringency on finish. A menthol flavor emerges after two hours, while the cola flavor recedes. Still an easy-drinking style as suggested by reviews here of earlier vintages. — 2 months ago

Z. Alexander Brown Wines

Uncaged Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Mmm. . . The family picked this up at a tasting at our new favorite butcher shop. More on the sweet side for a pinot but still flavorful. Hmmm may have to check my Napster for an accompanying Zac Brown hit for ambience. — 7 months ago

Scholium Project

FTP-Z Kirschenmann Ranch Zinfandel 2017

Ultra fresh Zin with a bit of funk on the nose but vibrant and a real pleasure to drink. Concentrated flavors but not overly ripe. Paired well with spicy mapo-tofu and dumpling! — 6 months ago
