Medium straw. Off dry, white peach, yellow apple, Asian pear, Meyer lemon, peach blossom, allspice, cinnamon, musk, curry spices, honey, and crushed stone. Linear zesty medium level acidity. Creamy and round mouthfeel. It was a lovely pairing with Japanese curry 🍛 we had for dinner 😋. — 3 days ago
The nose gives you honeysuckle, pear juice, dried apricot, ripe peach, and a hint of petrol. The palate is white peach, ripe apricot, honey, ripe pear, with hints of honey and white pepper. The after nose adds gunpowder. A luscious, full bodied white with medium plus alcohol and high acid. — 4 days ago
Binner Pirouette 2018 Brutal de Claude, France Pinot Noir...wish the identification matched the wine. Can't seem to get it changed.
My first brutal!! A little bit earthy on the nose like a light rain but so much smoother than I expected. Such a nice open with cherry and a peppery finish. Great introduction to this natural wine niche. — a month ago
#thursdaynight pairing a 2012 Pinot Gris from Trimbach with homemade Thai peanut shrimp 🥂🍤 French wine and Asian cuisine!
This aged Pinot Gris has a beautiful amber color. The nose delivers strong aromas of almonds, mango, bananas, dried apricots, and toasty notes. It has a long off-dry finish full of sweet almonds and honeysuckle flavors.
The wine was affected by noble rot (Botrytis) which made it sweater than the 2013 successor.
Cheers to Alsace wines! — 4 days ago
