Woodsy berries, wild cherries, herbs, rosehip, beach plum. This is so pretty and textured - and light- and there’s a hint of barnyard that accentuates the elegance. Clarity and lightness. A subtle bitter finish and modest tannins. Pairs perfectly with late summer fare. — 16 days ago
Very light Nebbiolo. Was a great after dinner bottle to ease into the night. Bold in flavor, slight sweetness. Terrific bottle. — 20 days ago
My very first Nebbiolo wine was a 1975 Valgella from Rainoldi. And my first interview to try to get into the NYC wine business after college in 83 was with the company (C. Daniele, now long-gone, who occupied a ramshackle office on 125th Street, I think) who imported Rainoldi then. So this wine brings up some ancient memories. It’s actually quite nice. It’s more rustic than many Valtellinas I’ve had. Nose has lots of sour cherry fruit laced with clean stony minerality and a bit of barrel spice. Intense yet not heavy in the mouth, with nice interplay between sour and ripe cherry. Nice minerality too. Tangy acidity and a bit of elbowy tannin give structure. Clingy finish. Went really well with bistecca alla pizzaiola. — a month ago
Showing very well tonight. Great purity—so clean it feels like a health drink, which, of course it is. Nose of pure fruit, expansive palate—cherry, white pepper, & forest floor wrapped around a sweet high-toned jolly rancher core. Pretty as all get out. #arpepe — a month ago
If all rose were this food I’d drink a ton of rose.
Nose is heaven. A field of lemon flowers blinded by Nebbiolo flowers.
Palate is so elegant. Savory. God. So delicious. Orange peel. Spice. It’s like An amazing Nebbiolo ... but rose.
Almost like gods Negroni. But low alcohol.
One of the best roses ive had.

Cool climate Italian. Very good — 3 days ago
Fine and delineated tannic structure with angles and edges instead of curves and roundness. The core of juicy wild berry/cherry fruit and rusticity give this a playful personality. VA and oxidation in check with this bottle, which is nice given some variation experienced in the past. Succulent alpine berries, licorice whip, herbs similar to a liquor or remedy of some sort, tar, porcini. — a month ago
