Unterstenberg Faß 12 Riesling Grosse Lage 2015

Popped and poured and wheeeee!!!! Petrol, tropical fruits, lemon/lime citrus, super acid and a precipice of chiseled minerals. Some serious energy. Still primary but already quite compelling. It’s hard to imagine these losing steam anytime in the next decade. I expect a very long life for the 2015 GG’s from Lauer. — 2 months ago

A banger! Such a cool gravel, wet concrete nose but hits you with a racy acidity & a plate of honey-coated stone fruit! — 2 months ago

Estate Vineyard Le Caprice Pinot Noir 2021

Ruby color, slight purple edges, with aromas of red fruits, forest floor, floral and smoky spice, aged in 50% new French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with cedar notes, tea, cola, black pepper, cinnamon spice and earthy herbs, very complex. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and a spicy earthy character. Needs more bottle time, will age well! Pair this with a grilled salmon or maple glazed pork chop! — 2 months ago

Stirn Faß 15 Riesling 2019

2019. Restrained aromas with a hint of petrol, but once in the mouth it’s all citrus and stone fruit flavors. Delicious! A little more sweetness than I expected, but it worked great when paired with the Vietnamese marinated pork tenderloins we made for dinner. — 2 months ago
