Got this for a dinner party and everyone loved it — 7 days ago
Too young but very good and should get better. Nose has loads of cigar box and ground sandstone, dark oozy berries. Palate is rich and complex, with a little alcoholic pepperiness in the back half. Lots of tannin. Acids are a bit low and the alcohol is a bit high at 15%, so the tightrope is to find the number of years of aging to let the tannins settle but before the alcohol starts to burn through. 9.1+ (the + is if you find that sweet spot). — a month ago
Dry wine with medium tannins. Smooth, juicy. — 5 days ago
1hr+ decant. Not sure if it needed more or was over the hill. Dark red color. Tough to write a note as this changed so much over the following hour. Medicinal tones with cherries and subtle vanilla. Medium minus finish. Might be in an odd phase? Confused! — 6 days ago

Once again the ‘16s are drinking really nice now. Ripe black fruit on the nose. Getting blackberries, black cherries, and even some blueberry on the finish. Tannins really soft and delicate now. All coming together really nice at this point. — 7 days ago
