Arnot-Roberts
Watson Ranch Chardonnay
Aromas & flavors of blended Golden Delicious/green apple, Meyer lemon yellow peach, golden plum, mango, banana, fresh herbs, wild flowers, spice box, and buttercream. Full bodied but not heavy on the palate due to the acidity keeping it afloat. Nice hints of saline tinged minerals. Lovely Chard!!

The perfect balance between old school and new school styles.

Jun 29th, 2020A nice wine, but I’m not quite sure about the quality / price ratio at $40+. Certainly interesting intellectually about what a cool climate Napa site can do with great soil and farming. Quite rich and mouth filling, and there is really tension between the creaminess and acid (in a good way). But ultimately this is a bit weak on the finish for me - slightly thin, not a ton of lingering acid, and the actual finish is a bit short.
