"Vaillon" Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Crisp, refreshing on a superhot day in PA! Lemon, slight oyster shell, saline, creamy texture, excellent acid, paired with simple salty snacks… — 13 days ago

Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay 1993

Light to medium gold color. Nice weight. Fruit forward, impactful nose. Notes of meyer lemon, tan spice, honeydew melon, citrus, kiwi and apricot. Silky and smooth in the mouth. Awesome fruit and fine-grained acidity. Lemon creme notes come on throughout the evening. Great juice. — 7 days ago

93 so underrated following 92 and so acidic on release but so good now.

Les Bressandes Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2017

Medium rubi robe, very elegant nose of crushed flowers, cherries, asian spices and a hint of cinnamon. Balanced and fresh, mineral in the mouth. Good length and complexity. We liked it a great great deal. — a month ago

Just delicious! I’ve had great luck w/Savoie wines and this was no different: pours extremely dark, inky, opaque, brooding taking its time to unfurl black & red fruit w/depth, earthy w/a hi tone note along with licorice and forest floor. Big mouth filling broad across palate, gobs of fruit but all fit into sturdy tannic frame. Well cut - a Country Squire — 3 days ago

Quartz Acorn Vineyard 2017

We took this bottle home from the tasting room several years ago and have been waiting for a good time to open. Wow! Definitely one of the best chards we’ve ever had. Bottle of the year at this point. — 6 days ago

Nicely done sir. Glad you popped it versus waiting. Life is short!

Lavières Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1999

Really a lovely red burgundy with a very nice bit of age. Quite lively at this point - frankly a bit surprisingly so. Ethereal with nice red fruit, some earthy complexity. Very good with a seafood focused meal and a good recommendation by the sommelier at Le Pavillon. — 11 days ago

Beaune du Château 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2018

No formal notes, dining with friends in a very good Chinese Restaurant on the Gold Coast. It might be a Premier Cru but Beaune is not Vosne Romanee. Lots of ripe cherry on the nose and palate. Quite sweet on the palate. Possibly drunk a little young and lacking in complexity but I don’t believe this will reach any great heights. — 8 days ago

Hochar Père & Fils Bekaa Valley Red Blend 2014

This is a wine that always delivers, just a no brainer. Lovely nose and a soft and smooth palate with some depth. The 14% alc is fine for me and gives the wine enough power to travel on with our vegetarian menu. — 10 days ago
