Excellent Beaujolais. Pinot like qualities even at the open. Leave it to breathe and it gets a lot better — 4 days ago
Nice with the chicken and pork entrées. We don’t drink much of this varietal, but this one was really nice. Not what we expected in a pub type restaurant, but maybe we should, at least at this one. — 21 days ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. I found this bottle of the 2018 Juliénas to be good…but not on the level of enjoyment that I get from Lapierre’s standard Morgon. It’s very pretty and floral…and a bit natty with some barnyard funk reminding you that these wines see the lightest of touches. A nice, somewhat rustic wine. Perhaps I’m being a bit harsh…but the Morgon is so compelling in comparison. Drink now. — 3 days ago
Inviting like dinner in a dark cold castle. An experience if you're up for a challenge. Mountain Gamay as deeply bleak and structured as I've ever come across.
This is reserved, but if you give it a few hours, a few days, the tannin starts to break, the fruit starts to smile, and the underlying character begins to show.
Deep inky purple core. Smells like graphite, pencil, and cherries. On day three there's plum, chocolate, coffee, and cedar. Strong scaffolding - tannins and minerals that make your tongue move.
Shame on me and my patience because this is way too young. — a month ago

Medium red color with ample bricking. Nose contains lots of rust with some minerals and blood. Medium minus depth with hardly any fruit. Very earthy and grassy. Medium finish. Probably over the hill as this usually has big, bright fruit. — 14 days ago
