Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

NOSE: black cherry, cassis, pepper(s) (both black pepper and the vegetable kind), a tiny bit of oak, but no vanilla.

TASTE: as the nose, plus very slight flowers and CLEAR PINE - the green pepper is more prominent and the oak is charred (still no vanilla, which is good). This will go great with the Wyoming steak I am about to eat. Bone dry. 91…plus.

Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2020

For my money, this is the "best value for money" Chardonnay out there. Just the right amount of acidity and oak. Hints of baked apple, clove and citrus. Pineapple, peach. Just a delightful sipper with some structure. If you like the Cab, don't pass on the Chard. — 4 months ago

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1979

1979 vintage. Not the biggest Jordan fan but this one hit before the mass California hysteria. Decanted and tasted after 10 mins-2 hours. Plenty of cedar, tannins and otherwise, structural components. Solid showing. May pick up a few of these for the holidaze. In best Darth Vader/James Earl Jones voice..."Impressive." 9.20.23. — 2 months ago

Ungeheuer Grosses Gewachs Riesling 2021

Unfortunately nowhere near ready. Crisp granny smith and lemon with a nice acidity. Needs at least 3-5 years. Luckily i have more of these! — 6 months ago
