Great examplar of the old school Barolo…decanted 90 mins….seriously pungent/truly gorgeous nose, more refined on the palate but lots of fruit, still a bit wooden/tannic - not offensively so but could probably mellow another 5 years. But very drinkable now, perfect with a heavy roast. Nose is so fragrant I could go around sniffing this all day — 11 days ago

Fabulous Barolo. Classic profile. At peak or close. Opened Friday but couldn’t return to it until today. So much improved. Beautiful tannins, tobacco, wood smoke, herbs and iron notes. Terrific. — 2 months ago

This wine paired well with both barbacoa and mole poblano. Two different Mexican dishes that are often hard to pair with wine. The sweetness of the mole blended well with the fruitiness of the wine. — 3 years ago
