Very expressive and complex nose of dark fruits, black cherries, an earthy side, the nose shows some age as well as the delicious palate even it is feels still young, rich and full, without excess or being too extracted or too ripe, big caveat is the very ordinary and short finish not worthy of a real Grand Cru. 91-92
— a month ago
One of those bottles that whenever I see what I have left, I'm sad...Another fantastic showing. On the nose:.cola, spice, wild strawberry, pomegranate, and loads of spicy earthy notes. On the palate: spot-on acidity, balanced by the density, pomegranate, wild strawberry, soft earth, soft pepper, and some grippy tannin on the finish. Fantastic, yum! — 4 months ago
My first Joshua Cooper wine - had to check out the Young Winemaker of the year for 2020 awarded by Gourmet Wine Traveller magazine. Joshua has recently turned 32. This wine was quite rich and dense and a little closed aromatically - obviously quite young. Ripe plum, rose petals, with a little vegetal matter. - a big future ahead. Joshua has had wide experience with Australian wineries and in Burgundy with Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron. This wine from the cool climate Macedon Ranges with high profile neighbours like Bindi and Curly Flat. — 6 months ago
Needs time to decent and open up.
Earthy, dill, celery leaves, pink mamba candy, beef tartare with raw yolk on the nose.
Still firm and structured yet so silky. Raspberry. — 4 hours ago
Slight oak aroma. Oak and ceder. Quite elegant. Fruity, acidic. A bit stimulated to my throat and slight bitter. Minerally. Dry direction. 2017 @1450, domaine -, 210511-210519 — a month ago
Smooth well balanced easy to drink — 6 months ago
La Dot! Oh how I love thee. Way way too young. But glorious! Nose is showing some reduction. Will blow off. Gorgeous ripe cherries. Smoke. Leather. Minerals. Floral. Really complex. Palate is so good. So refined and elegant with huge structure and sap. Such purity and depth. Salty almost on the very long finish. Great freshness and explosiveness. Great fruit density as well. Check back in 5 years. — a month ago
Lovely gamay and pinot noir. Effervescent, lush, medium deep. Some after the checkout Long’s black cherry machine dispensed soda and kyoho, which I love. — 3 months ago
