Tonights wine I have opened is the 2019 Catherine Marshall Sauvignon Blanc Elgin Valley, South Africa.
The nose has beautiful aromatics with abundance of grapefruit, peach, nectarine, green bell pepper, herbs, grass and minerals.
On the palate the is lime, grapefruit, white peach, bell pepper, basil, jalapeño, grass and minerals.
This wine is medium bodied that is rich and mouth filling and medium to medium + acidity with a long crisp clean citrus finish. I hope everyone's weekend is going well? Please continue being safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 12 days ago
Trinch! is the entry-level wine of Catherine and Pierre Breton. Red berries, cherry, and forest floor. The predominant flavor is mellow blueberry. Medium- bodied with nice acids to keep things fresh. Finish is on the shorter end of the spectrum but strangely nutty. Natural wine but no ultra-funk that overwhelms the fruit. — 22 days ago
Tastes like Condrieu at aViognier price point. I want to bathe in this. — a month ago
Delicious. Raspberry, tomato, red pepper, oregano. Lovely acidity, balanced. — 5 hours ago
This is a really solid wine. One of the best from Dr Champagne!! — a month ago
Riktigt frisk med kittlande avslut. Härlig vikt, bärighet och längd. Bra utvecklad. Bretons Chinon är lite mer intressant men den här är ett bra, ganska tillgängligt alternativ. — 4 days ago
Blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf, raspberry, a hint of leather and forest floor. Mouthwatering acidity, fine grained tannins and a medium long finish. Drinking window is smack wide open and will remain so for years. — 19 days ago
Very drinkable value wine. Grenache Syrah blend. Unsweet, slight bitterness from peels and stems blending nicely with tannins and juicy, but not overripe fruit. Deep cranberry purple color. 2016 vintage . I would buy this again to have on hand for dinner. Complements meaty, hearty food. — a month ago
