P'tit Gaby Grignan-les-Adhémar Red Rhone Blend 2017

Found in a wine shop in bigfork, Montana. On a two week trip we bought 3 bottles. Good acid, not too heavy or thick, no oak taste,, perfect with food — 3 days ago

Really lovely, elegant expression. Vibrant and fresh, with a raspberry / mulberry / graphite palate and a pretty, chalky finish. Excellent value here... — a month ago

Vin de Pays des Bouches-du-Rhône Red Blend 2004

Quelle belle bouteille. — 8 days ago

Super aromas. Mesmerizing. Herbal, cassis, light cherry, mineral and so so lifting. Super complex and so transparent. Sweet fruit on the palate, so nimble, elegant and mineral. This just floats and has a Burgundian sensibility. So balanced and wowza pure. Ripe and super elegant tannins. Superb. Has more to say. — 13 days ago

L'Insolite Saumur Chenin Blanc 2015

Honey, brewed green tea, chamomile, ripe yellow pineapple and mango, juicy apricot, medicinal notes/petrol, slightly white pepper, bread dough, marmalade, precise chalky minerality (though I think it’s grown on limestone/schist?). Piercing high acidity, finishes tart and citrusy. Long finish. 😋 — a month ago

Electric. So so electric. Floral, stones, minerals, some light white almond slices, wet rocks, so stoney. But pure and chiseled. Palate is terrific. Dense, chewy and my god the acid on this is majestic. Nimble and pure with such purity and length. Lemons are pretty much the only fruit but the minerals crush you. So elegant and textured, yet dynamic and massive. Really a wine of contrasts wherein the intrigue lies. What aromas. Best Roches Neuves white since 13 Clos Romans but this might be better. Thierry has always said ultimately this wine would be better than Clos Romans when the vines got old enough. I think 18 is first vintage where this is true. An unreal wine. — a month ago

this one is a baby....but that color is so seductive, and within an hour it’s singing “but if you try sometimes.....you’ll find......” (you get what you need.....or something like that). Tooth etching powder wash..... — 22 days ago

A brilliant vintage for this wine. A top 5 Crozes. Easy. Spice, game, some funk, blueberry, black berry, black cherry, huge granite and even some wilted flowers. Young but tasty palate of dazzling granite and velvety tannins and engaging energy from the minerality. Terrific power, depth and concentration. Needs 5 years. So long and such beautifully defined fruit on the incredibly long finish. Really rich and dark. Awesome. Wait 5 years. As this opens the balance becomes superb. Almost a 9.4. I’ll be back. — 2 months ago
