Dark crimson with purple hues in color. Very aromatic nose giving the wine it’s beautiful scents of black-red fruit, perfume, milk chocolate and toasted marshmallow with subtle notes of mint and cigar. Taste is smooth and elegant with a luscious feel. Red fruit/dark plum , spice and mocha flavors are dominant with secondary notes of gravel, tobacco and leather adding to its dry medium plus finish. A treat for sure on this lovely Saturday night. — 13 days ago
Pretty, effusive and in a great spot now for early drinking - but this will go some way yet! The nose is very Médoc and almost Pauillac-like, with very pure aromatics and a prominent iron/graphite streak. The wine itself is medium to full-bodied, bright and vibrant, slightly zesty if not hugely concentrated, but well balanced and features a refreshing finish. — 8 days ago
Slightly hazy (poor reflection on my impatient decanting ) but quite deep garnet, wide terracotta rim . Slightly high toned , quite meaty dried mushroom nose, red currant , degraded blackberry and earthy notes. Just a bit rustic and lacks a bit of definition and interest to be honest . On the palate shows better with good poise and roundness, finely judged acidity with , ripe and quite vivid mix of red and dark fruit. Touch of sous bois and grafite , seems younger on the palate than the nose or appearance would indicate. Good persistence too , with rounded still noticeable tannins . Overall an ok showing , and only started deteriorating after 3 hours in decanter , especially considering the upper shoulder ullage, there will be better bottles out there . Drink now and over the next 5 -7 years . — a month ago
Seems much better than last tasting, very enjoyable drinking tonight. Nose of garrigue, stewed dark plum and cedar, then chewy red and black fruit, liquorice, hint of chocolate and a firm finish on the palate. It unfolds in the mouth. Lovely stuff. — 8 days ago

Vintage 2005 | 3 hours decant | brown rim, beautiful barnyard nose, spices like clove, Scottish pipe tobacco, even some cherries. Taste is velvety, supple, no need to cellar this wine longer, good acidity, vibrant. Classic Haut Medoc that delivers | paired with Chaams Hoen chicken roulade and green asparagus, and cheddar cheese. — 5 days ago
