2008. Phinney-era Prisoner. Aged extremely well, which in this case means it maintained its big fruit up front while the tannins and booziness have disappeared. Our guests enjoyed the Barbaresco with dinner, but really liked the dark sweet fruits in this wine. — 3 months ago
big and juicy. not your typical pinot noir — 3 months ago
UGCB 1/27/23 Big. Purple/black. Angular — 4 months ago
Refer to previous Delectable Notes 5 years ago in July 2018. No changes to now. Black fruits - currant and berry. Rich, mouth filling, full bodied and delicious - the sort of wine that created a big profile for Mollydooker in the USA. The 16%ABV is not apparent. As I said in the previous note, definitely a crowd pleaser and a great wine on a cold night. One bottle left which I will probably have next winter. — 16 days ago
Wow! This is big with notes of cherry, blackberry, tobacco. Yummy!! — 4 months ago
Rich scent of coffee on the nose. Vanilla, black cherry, smoke, and a touch of coffee on the palette. Dark and big but the spice and oak aren’t too harsh. — a month ago
Decanted. Deep inky color. Big bouquet of dusty, spicy berries. Cherries and berries on the tongue, then feeds to plums blackberries, and other darker fruits. Some oak and chocolate on the back. Minimal tannins. Not very acidic. Big and lush and Silky. — 3 months ago
Tasted blind. Dark, dark black scarlet color. Opaque times 2. Notes of black cherry, licorice, herbs and violets. Some menthol too. Big and strong in the mouth. Monolithic and still a bit harsh despite being open all day. Not as big a fan of this as others, at least at this point in its evolution. — 3 months ago

Tasting wines for my W set and I randomly cracked this open because I had two bottles and I have no clue as to where I got them. I didn’t know the price point and right away I thought incredible! Almost like you’re tasting something out of a 2019 burgundy. I’m surprised it being so young. It still has some earthy layers to it. I’ll be back my friend. — 15 days ago
