Luke Lambert 2012 Yarra Valley Nebbiolo. Loaded with personality & character. Along with Arrivo showing the potential of Neb in Aus. The value question is the one that needs to be answered when you can get Voerzio Langhe & Vietti Perbacco for under $50. Lambert's Neb is heaps of fun. Yeah there's some slightly aggressive mid palate tannin that needs food to soften it. Overall an Aussie Neb to watch. If he can get the fruit & tannin length I'll be back. Patience required to comprehend just how much evolution & refinement occurs with Yarra Teri g wine over time. As a winemaker it does my head in! You try something, look at the wine over to five years, think you've got it sorted make changes in the vineyard & winery, then on it's 19th B'day it freaks you out tells you it's become a sophisticated adult & the zits have gone. It's no longer a gangle creature working out how to use it's arms & legs. #winery just bought by #jacksonfamily wines and I completely understand why. Amazing. #yarravalley #chardonnay pale lemon color, the wine has pronounced aromas of citrus (lemon, nectarine and grapefruit) and stone fruit (apricot) with secondary aromas of toast, flint and butter. On the palate the wine is dry with medium (+) acidity, medium/high 13,5% alcohol, medium(+) body and pronounced flavours. With a certain hint of lemon yoghurt and cream. Medium (+) Creamy finish.
