The nose has notes of black cherry but is a little hot with alcohol. The palate is round with black cherries and black fruit with black pepper in the finish. Great with Fathead Pizza. — 5 years ago

Planeta 2007 Santa Cecilia from 100% Nero d’Avola. 2nd bottle for me and every bit as good as the first. Deep red in the glass. Dark berry fruit, herbs, leather, tobacco and cocoa on the long finish. Great example of the Sicilian variety, Nero d’Avola. I think this has the structure to last another 5-7 years.
