Planeta 2007 Santa Cecilia from 100% Nero d’Avola. 2nd bottle for me and every bit as good as the first. Deep red in the glass. Dark berry fruit, herbs, leather, tobacco and cocoa on the long finish. Great example of the Sicilian variety, Nero d’Avola. I think this has the structure to last another 5-7 years. Jul 14th, 20182007 Planeta Santa Cecilia. Nero d’Avola from Noto in the far south of Sicily. Ruby red in colour, the black fruits have matured well. Deep and full in the mouth, herbs, leather, some tobacco and a pleasant chocolate lingering on the long finish. Really enjoyed this wine.
