I’m not quite as effusive as @Lyle Fass but this was indeed gorgeous - step above their straight Spatburgunder w/tons of personality. I was really taken w/perfumed nose and earth driven elements. Yeah there’s gobs of decadent cherry, raspberry & strawberry, but the brambly herbal spice elements are downright sexy. It’s all about complexity & generosity not to mention balance & elegance. — 5 days ago

So so intense, clean mineral lines & voluminous on palate-tasted blind my friend thought Chardonnay. 50 shades of apricot, a squeeze of petrol at end of long finish. Enough padding to be also Uber enjoyable. — 4 months ago
One of my favorite sleeper wines in my portfolio. Nose has lemon pith and flesh and a hint of creaminess. Gorgeous and clear minerals. Smells like a scene in nature. So vivid and like a field. Palate is just so complete with lemon, grapefruit and green apple flavors and a lovely limestone minerality throughout and tons of sap and length. With air the nose has a unique grassy element. Really fresh and perfectly integrated acidity. This is the type of wine restaurants in the usa need by the glass. Of course it would be overpriced but at least it will be great. Really picking up some finesse now with air. This is so well made. Nose is stanky mineral now. Also so saline. Sea breeze. Palate has such grace and a quiet density. Round and fresh. — a month ago
Nose is cranberry, spice and mulberry. So different than what Thorle is doing today. Love this style but also love the newer style. What a winery! Some herbs, some limestone aromas and sour cherry. Very complex. Palate is energetic and to be honest a bit of an herbal streak that I love but others might not. No green from 18 on for this bottling. I am betting it goes away with air. Palate is lush and energetic with terrific purity and depth. Good freshness and depth hut seems thing compared to what they are doing now. Sour and early season cherry fruit and super velvety tannins. Let’s see what happens with air. — 5 months ago

Complex nose of spice, early to mid season cherries and tons of limestone. Needs air but so pretty for such a humble wine. Unreal fruit on the palate. Dense and explosive with great purity and superb minerality. Really impressive but does need air. 21 Pinots from Germany and so transparent but do need air. I will be back. Good concentration and sapidity with air. Lots of raspberry coulis today. 9.1 to 9.2 overnight. — 5 days ago
