Big Cork Vineyards

Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Fabulous art from the hand of Dave Collins. East meets West (fittingly) as this varietally correct build splits Loire & La’Caly. Grass + tropical Citrus meld to a food friendly budget all star. 16$ on special at WF :) — 3 years ago

Leeuwin Estate

Prelude Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Dark ruby. Welcoming nose, provides curiosity for what lies under the cork. A blend of dark and red fruit, with notes of Chocolate throughout. — 6 years ago

Castell d'Encus

Ekam Riesling Albariño

Splendid Spanish version! 21 June 17 @ Mews in Baltimore, West Cork, Ireland — 7 years ago

Cape Mentelle

Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 1998

1998 vintage. Cork crumbled away but with minimal effect on the wine. Deliciously well worn velvety cassis Cabernet. These old labels were my favourite. — 4 years ago

Those labels were great. Felt special

Picardy

Chardonnay 2015

A Burgundy white from Pemberton, Great Southern, WA. Still very young. Cork — 6 years ago

Willespie

Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 1985

This lasted the test of time. Only a slight rise in the cork after 32 years. Front was full of black fruits and finished as good as it gets. Amazing wine and very happy to get a chance to taste. — 7 years ago

Deliciously spicy, soft tannin and lovely velvet quality. Cork had deteriorated somewhat — 4 years ago

La Encantada Estate

Cuvée Blanc Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Blanc Pinot Gris 2013

Found it a few years late in the storage. That said this is the vineyard formerly owned by Sanford really far west in the Santa Rita Hills and this blend was very good. Lime overtones went better with food than not but I should have pulled the cork a few years ago. — 5 years ago

Skipper Dark Rum

Sultry and mysterious. The swell retro label suggests you keep it visible. I would not mix this with sugar - it’s too good — 7 years ago
