Merry Christmas to all on Delectable! The best drop during our wine squad’s pre-Christmas gathering has to be this masterpiece from Tim Frohlich. Such insane concentration, yet so filigreed and focused. The trademark reduction and vintage's ripeness gave it such an intense jackfruit character. Notes of herbs, spices, and ripe oranges too, as well as hints of mint and white florals. The palate was dense, silky, and straight up powerful, but never heavy - it remained juicy, bright, and saline throughout. And the finish here was just something else. It went on and on, filled with zingy citrus and a smoky, stony minerality. Really impressive stuff here and definitely a worthy contender (vs. Felseneck) for the title of Schafer-Frohlich’s top wine. — a year ago
En magnum, killer nose — 2 months ago
Gorgeous green-flecked color. Nose has deep lemon-lime and apple fruit and tons of clean slatey minerals. Deep on the palate, with crisp, mouthwatering fruit competing with stony minerals. Persistent acids propelling it along. At 8 years old still seem very youthful — 7 months ago
Excellent. Light, fruity, and complex. — 6 months ago

Starts off fruity but has a whack of tannins as it opens. A very fun and delicious Austrian wine. — 17 days ago
