Lovely bottle. 8%! Singing 🎶 — 10 months ago
Not as super acidic as the Fritz Haag, but still very strong acid balance to the sweetness. Liked a lot! — 4 years ago
What a lovely, lovely wine. Classic J.J. Prum. A distinctly pretty light straw color in the glass with faint green tinges. The nose is oh so floriferous and charming. Honeysuckle and wildflowers with white peaches and yellow apples. After some time, there’s a bit of slate and honey. Light and breezy, this is so nice.
A crisp and lovely Mosel Riesling, it’s very much alive and inviting immediately. Refreshing and well balanced throughout. There is precision on the palate underscored by some nice minerality. The fruit is pronounced and remarkably crisp, led by bright citrus tones and light spice. Vibrant lemon zest and grapefruit is tremendous here. Prum delivers yet again.

Medium lemon , touches of gold , quite young looking . Really aromatic with candied peel , marzipan , white flowers , baked apple, orange peel . On the palate this is quite sweet and rich , but with high balanced acidity . Candied peel , baked apple , barley sugar , camomile . Quite intensely sweet finish , but with good underlying bracing acidity . Lightness of touch with great intensity . Still pretty young and sweet . Petrol Power. No greater thrill when a good vintage transforms into this wild cornucopia of sweet n salt n petrol n mineral. — 3 years ago
I mean, can JJ Prum not make great Riesling? “Just” a mere Kabinetb, but fantastic vineyard and great acidity, long finish, lovely Kabinett!! — 4 years ago
Consistent favorite. Lime zest, crushed limestone. — 6 months ago
Just perfect balance between the sweetness and the fruit. Peach, apricot, and pineapple wine with an extraordinary complexity. A great sweet wine that went perfectly with Roquefort. — 9 months ago
Ripe peach and grapefruit with a hint of apricot. On the first night the sweetness dominated (we mainly drink dry Riesling). This was 8.5% ABV with plenty of residual sugar, but on the 2nd night not tasting as sweet. Purity verging on crystalline. Medium plus palate intensity. A class act typical of JJ PRUM. I’m not sure if I have chosen the right title here. There was nothing “Trocken” (Dry) about this Riesling. — a year ago
Years ago used to treat myself to this maker once a year, but then my local store stopped bringing them in & I lost contact. Such a marvelous blend of concentration & finesse: Asian pear, ginger crystal, and white peach. Not a light bodied Kabinett, just gorgeous. Not a stand out vintage if I remember right but they are all pretty damn good. — 5 years ago
Bob McDonald

Mid lemon in colour. Aromatics of yellow peach and slate. Touch of smoke. Great palate intensity - not overly sweet for an Auslese - only 8% ABV. Jancis said “a floral explosion on the palate “ and I cannot disagree. I don’t drink a lot of sweet wine without dessert but this was most enjoyable - a great accompaniment to chicken liver pate with crackers. Acidity particularly at the first taste still very much present. — 9 days ago
