My first Little Wine #11 from Sami Odi. An unvintaged assembly of casks from 2021 (46%); 2020 (18%); 2019 (16%); 2018 (2%); 2017 (9%); 2016 (5%); & 2015 (4%). The multi vintage adoption adds different dimensions - quite unique. The wine is a deep Ruby with a youthful purple tinge. Light in that it dances on the palate but there is no escaping that profound palate intensity from those old vines. Dark and luscious fruits. Blueberries and blackberries. Little Wine is meant to be drunk young, even Fraser says that, but can be cellared. Fresh, intense and powerful. I have drunk older Little Wines and the premium Cuvée but have found the extra cellar time doesn’t add the expected complexity. I have a bottle of Baby Tui, surprisingly all from the excellent 2012 vintage to put this cellaring idea to the test at some stage in the future. — 3 months ago
Wow!! Still so vibrant and articulate at 13 years old… This field blend of 2nd/3rd choice selections is, in excellent harvest, better than 98% of other vineyards best first choice barrels. 46 Merlot… 31CS, 15 PV, 8% cab franc. 10. Provided such rich sugar, but Jim was able to maintain structure and phenolic equal by picking at the right time. — a year ago
Blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral spice and smoky cedar notes, aged 12 months in 60% new barrels. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry and black cherry with cacao, tobacco, licorice and smoky spice. Fine grainy tannins, well balanced on long finish, ending with fruit, cedar, smoke and earthy mineral character. Very nice, will age well but wait a few more years to really enjoy! — 2 years ago
Pale and translucent hue. Aromas of almond, apple, brioche, citrus, minerals, pear, toast. Medium bodied with high acid. Pear on the palate. Good length. 46% Pinot Noir, 37% Pinot Meunier, 17% Chardonnay. — 5 months ago

HWT - very flavorful and a bit of berry but not too much. 15% and $46 on sale for $40. Preferred aerated — a year ago
Tonights wine is the 2019 La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou. Saint-Julian Bordeaux Blend 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, chocolate, spice, black pepper, minerality and earth.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, green bell pepper, black pepper, spice, vanilla, minerals and dark rich earth.
This is a full bodied wine well balanced medium + acidity and medium + mouthcoating firm grippy tannins that taks you into a long black fruit woody finish. Lets all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy family and friends the best we know how. Please be healthy and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 years ago

2015 vintage. With 74% Merlot (and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Cabernet Franc), this is a world of difference compared to the 2022 ( 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot) tasted alongside. We switch from red fruit in the fully mature 2015, to the more black fruit personality of the 2022. While the 2015 is an attractive wine in a lighter style, it is no match for the more powerful and profound 2022,reflecting the impressive progress made here year after year since the Lorenzetti family took over. — 6 days ago
