This 09 was upgraded to 100 points by Lisa Perrotti formerly of Robert Parker in 2020. I didn’t taste a 💯 & the first time she & I have been this far apart.
This 09 was velvety, smooth, beautiful & elegant with nicely ripe fruits. But, it really lacked the depth & complexity I have come to expect from this producers bottling.
Touched into 94 with a few sips. Decanted a 1 1/2 hours & enjoyed over the next two hours.

Dark fruit. Sweet edges. Great fruit given the age. Oak softened. Very good — 2 days ago
Powerful wine. Lots of oomph here. It’s bold and heavy. But my personal dislike of Cab Franc is holding this review back. Ignore me. I rarely like any wine north of 10% Cab Franc. This was still good and it drank easily. But it lacked something to me to be truly exceptional. The fruit seems much more mature than 8 yrs. The color was quite dark. Nice perfume. — 20 days ago
Light golden in color.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Showing limes, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, light earth, minerals and black pepper.
Spicy finish with bitter almonds.
This is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc From the Loire Valley in France. Rich and elegant. Much more buttery than I expected it to be.
Still young and needs at least 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. I had the 2014 not too long ago, and it was even better.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Good by itself or with food.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
