Bella's Garden Shiraz 2016

Only revealed cool blackberry and bacon fat after about an hour...still, once it settled, a quite good shiraz — 5 days ago

Secret Block Moppa Hills Shiraz 2013

Ahhhh. Finally. This wine was awesome. Deep dark complex cherry in balance with soft tannins and a soothing finish. Decent acidity to allow all the flavors to express. Full concert! We postponed our bbq paired dinner because we wanted to just enjoy sipping the wine. And when the bottle empties too fast, you know you got a good one! — 25 days ago

Adrestia Adelaide Hills Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc

Great balance and long finish. A lot of things to taste in this wine from butterscotch to lime zest to applepie. From butter to hay. WoW. — a month ago

Angels' Share McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018

This wine offers a nose of black and blue berries, shoe leather and a hint of black olives. It’s a deep, rich bouquet. The flavors are similarly dark, with berries leading the way again. Black pepper and a nutmeg note also appear, with the fruit staying long on the finish. There is a good tannic structure, easily enough for a steak or beef stew. The oak regimen was nearly all used barrels, so the oak effect is quite nice, not a bit overdone.

Two Blondes Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Gave this a good decant tonight. Once it has some air it shows detail, energy and focus. Ripe dark berries & oaky/spicy notes on the nose & palate. This soars with food. Shows dark rich flavors, but maintains a fresh character with good grip & texture. Will only get better. — 3 days ago

Two Messengers Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2012

If you drank this a few years ago and were underwhelmed, then your bottle was likely damaged or too young. This is a gorgeous bottle of PN that is now entering maturity. I've seen a number of comments on this wine. Afaik, Louis-Michel Liger-Belair was the consulting winemaker on this wine made by Mikey Etzel. Anyway, it's glorious. — 14 hours ago

Gnarly Dudes Barossa Valley Shiraz 2012

In a perfect place right now. Pure, wild blueberry fruit, evergreen sap, tobacco, green peppercorn, stewed plums, and bright raspberry. Fruit is still primary, and surprisingly lively. Red and blackberry fruit. Firm acidity and resolving tannins. Finishes clean with length and purity. — 5 days ago

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2015

Honest pour to relax at my new digs after a hard day of work. 2800 cases made. Ruby red, light to moderate pigment extraction, excellent clarity. Fresh raspberry and strawberry aromas with a touch of funk. Intense raspberry flavor with strawberry and a hint of cherry. Light skin astringency, medium weight tannins, good acid but not quite tart. Could use a little time to take the edge off those skin tannins, at least 30 minutes. Solid fruit-forward Oregon pinot, with emphasis on fresh red fruit character; summer in a glass, Willamette Valley style. Good value too. — 11 hours ago
