Aromas of mint, dried herbs with cassis and black plum. A medium weight palate which is dusty, resolved, balanced and beautiful. Finishes with slinky, silky tannins. Mature Bordeaux from a good district and producer is hard to beat. Happy Bastille Day - we drank this on Sunday. — 12 days ago
Dry. Good! — 14 days ago
Helping a chef with a Smith Madrone tasting. This is a very nice Riesling that exhibits apples, peach and some bartlett pear. Just a bit of acidity and you will get a fair hint of oil on the nose, not in a bad way. We gave it a good 1 hr decant and didn't serve it too chilled. Light acidity and a full mouthfeel. 7 year bottle aged and drinking nicely. — a month ago
A lovely wine. Maybe lost a bit of body. — 4 months ago

Pop and pour. A beautiful dark ruby red color. On the nose: very aeromatic with dark fruit, herbaceous, some funky earth, leather and touch of mint. Taste: dark cherry, chocolate espresso, spice, tar, little bit of green veggie, and a medium dry finish with a slight still there tannic kick. — 7 days ago
