I almost went to this dinner but they couldn’t tell me the menu. Important as I have some food allergies. I also asked about what they were pouring and they could not answer that either. For nearly $600 a person, I needed to know. Looks like a great dinner though.

x good year to be obsessed about...standout wines of the night were the 91 Volcanic Hill and the 2001 Gravelly Meadows. Really wanted to like the 1990 Lake(I have not tried Lake before), but it seemed a little light with a sharp finish. The 91 Volcanic Hill was singing with expressive notes of dark cherry, cedar, graphite, peppery and a nice long finish.

x too bad, it would have been nice to meet you. They had a nice group of people at the event with plenty of pours of wine. Hope they had a late night party cause I'm sure the 20 of us did not finish a 1.5L,3L,5L,3L of wine. Cheers!

Long Meadow Ranch

Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Pale ruby color. Aromas of cherry, pomegranate, earth and mushrooms. Very good Pinot, loads of red fruit with a minerals and black tea on the finish. — 5 months ago

Enderle & Moll

Liaison Pinot Noir 2019

Since Fass is offering the 2019 as a cellar release from the winery i went back to taste the vintage. 2018, 19, 20, 21 are all excellent and different. The 18‘ is more wild and rich, the 19‘ quite elegant and the 20‘big while the 21‘ is probably my favorite a combination of 19‘ & 20‘. The 19 is classic E&M i would drink the vintage and not keep it. Light and elegant, dark cherries, lime, chalk and this hard to define E&M signature best described as black forest meadow with thyme and other herbs. I could drink this by the bucket. — a year ago

We took @Jenks and C to their Napa restaurant for brunch on a Sunday and smashed four bottles of wine before sending them off to the airport 🥴

Long Meadow Ranch

Farmstead Napa Valley Chardonnay 2015

Pear and golden delicious apple nose, a little creaminess and soft tannins. An easy drinking Chardonnay that goes well with food. — 5 months ago

Michael Shaps

Wild Meadow Vineyard Chardonnay 2018

Even though 18 was a dramatically wet vintage, Michael knows how to coax enough tannin and acid from the rain logged clusters. Sorting must’ve been the real key here as the blend retained quite a bit of structure associated with other quality vintages. While a bit mellow and buttery, it was still very pleasant with the floral component. — 9 months ago
