N.V. Delicate Cream Sherry

Owned by Banfi and an elder statesmen in Sherry. I’m not a Cream Sherry man but this is quite light and well constructed, for under 15$, well done. Almond paste, marzipan, walnuts on nose. — 19 hours ago

Terramagna Selected Harvest Red Blend 2015

It‘s a very tasty blend. The nose is fantastic: there’s some vanilla, a cherry and a red currant. And all combined with the sweetness of jam and toned with pleasant acidity. But there is something else and I can’t recognize it. Like a mystery. Mild tannins. Short finish. — 9 days ago

Red Blend

This is a fabulous and inexpensive red blend. The Grenache really comes through for a fruit forward, enjoyable wine. — 5 days ago

"El Amigo Imaginario" Palomino 2017

Funky little sherry-like orange wine. If blindfolded I’d have guessed it was an amantillado but has a bit lighter qualities that make it quaffable on its own. Near bone-dry saline qualities with the nutty finish you’d expect from that region. I paired it with gumbo and it worked fantastically. At the end of quarantine, I’m likely to have an imaginary friend too...🤪 — 2 days ago

Mas de Mancuso

Almoncid de la Sierra Garnacha 2016

Fullträff. Sval och generös på samma gång. Riktigt aromatisk. Hallonlakrits, viol, järn, örter m.m Lite mindre tannin än gemene Rhône och ganska silkig textur rakt igenom som adderar mkt drickglädje. Fräschör och riktigt mineralkittel i avslutet. — 12 days ago

La Rumbera Pansa Blanca-Garnatxa Blanca Blend

Very surprising! Very lemon forward and funky, almost like a lambic or sour beer. Strong citrus and a light yellow, cloudy, but really good! — 10 days ago

Albahra Garnacha Tintorera 2017

spanish cherry blaster. medium body & medium-high acidity, zippy but soft with a hint of spice, cherry, plum & stone. winery name translates to “wine yourself” which makes me think of “frost yourself” from 10 ways to lose a guy. this has nothing to do with the wine but feels relevant nonetheless after wining myself all night. — 2 days ago

Habla Espanol Red Wine 2018

Needs a day or 2 to open up. Starts almost like a thin Beaujolais, but gradually opens up. Heavy strawberry and Provencal herb notes. Stays light bodied, but pairs well with dishes like Coq au Vin or a white bean gratin. Well priced at ~$13 for 1L. — 5 days ago
