Le Ginglet Arbois Pupillin Trousseau 2018

Longtime favorite and I snap up this foxy number whenever I see it. Crunchy strawberry and herbs, a bit of animal and yeast at the end but not too much to compromise the freshness. I don’t think this ages and should be drunk up but that doesn’t make it any less special — a month ago

Vieilles Vignes Poulsard 2022

Very good blend of 40% Trousseau, 15% Poulsard, 45% Pinot Noir. Similar to a full red burg Pinot. A little more funk and acidity. Cherry and dried cranberries, light body. Had it 2 nights in a row, with eggplant parm and salad. — 2 months ago

Les Crêts Arbois Chardonnay 2020

had to decant for ~45 to let some of that highly sought after jura egg fart blow off—it was gnarly. after some air, this was insane. had a touch of bruised apple/toffee that i expect from southern white burgs. that being said, the acid here was wild. lightning rod energy kept the more decadent notes in perfect balance. salty lemon curd? killer length. will be dreaming about this one. if more jura drank like this i wouldn't talk so much shit about jura. — 7 months ago

Trois Cépages Arbois Pinot Noir Trousseau Poulsard 2019

Jura FTW again! Man, this producer is fast becoming one of my favorites. Complexity here is off the charts: granite, cherry, cranberry, mushroom, dried herbs, eucalyptus, and more. Light and smooth, low tannins, it still packs a big flavor punch. Cherry cola, orange peel, lots of pepper. Heck yeah. — a year ago

Tradition Arbois Poulsard-Trousseau Blend 2022

Delectable Wine
8.9

A blend of 40% Poulsard, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Trousseau, the 2022 Rouge Arbois Tradition displays bright red fruits alongside spicy elements. Subtle herbaceous accents add complexity, attributable to the use of approximately 20% stems from the Pinot Noir and Trousseau during fermentation. Concentrated and savory, the 2022 is neatly framed by ripe tannins and can be enjoyed over the next four years. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, August 2024)

Les Grands Teppes Vieilles Vignes Côtes du Jura Chardonnay 2015

Stood upright for a week so the particles would settle in the bottom. I decanted so I could get a clear glass and could see the puff of sulfur and all the bubbles or effervescence in the decanter. Very yeasty for the first 30 minutes and took longer than that for it to lose the effervescence. Not sure if any of this helped or hindered the results 🫠 — 8 months ago

Probably one of the best wines out there right now. Just mind blowing. — a month ago

Sonoma County Trousseau 2022

Really enjoyed this. Don’t have a ton of experience with Trousseau, from the jura or elsewhere, but this is nice. The perfect pre dinner red with a slight chill - lighter, but still vervey and fun. — 17 days ago
