Pale lemon in color. Aromas of peach, apricot, honeysuckle, lemon, and minerals. The palate is creamy yet refreshing, with notes of butter, vanilla, and ginger. Full bodied with a long finish. Gets better as it opens up.

What else can I say other than Cab Sav is my favorite Saarloos & Sons wine โ 8 months ago
2020 vintage. A fave CA chard and producer. Medium-medium heavy body. Tasting slightly more tropical and advanced with less acidity than usual. Still absolutely delicious tho. Would like to retaste and reevaluate in 5-6 months tho. Based on 30 vintages of tasting this particular wine, betting it reconciles any tawdry, fleeting concerns that occupy my compromised palate and right quick. 01.22.25. โ a month ago
Deep cherry red. Black currant. Vanilla. Gentle aroma. Silky tannin. Superb balance among sweetness, spiciness and acidity. Full of elegance. Mount Eden Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 17 @13750, Yang, 241222 โ 2 months ago
100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 1 year in new French and American oak barrels, while I get the Barossa fruit feel, this also reminds, at this age, of 1980s Napa/Sonoma Cabs, close to mature, very well-balanced, complex, long, lingering finish, terrific Barossa Cabernet!! Purchased at Henschke in 1989 (my first and only visit) and shipped home via a now-defunct import/shipping company in Alameda, California (I also bought some 1986 Mt. Edelstone Shiraz and 1985 Hill of Grace Shiraz on that same trip!!) โ 5 months ago
Purchased from Marion Hotel and Cellars near Adelaide, we enjoyed this in American River on Kangaroo Island. This full-bodied Shiraz evolved beautifully over the evening, revealing layers of dark berries, pepper, tobacco, Australian bark and earth, and a hint of anise, with a spicy finish. Balanced and complex, it earned full bonus points for how much we enjoyed it. A great wine, albeit with a screw cap. โ 2 months ago
