Pierre Boisson

Meursault Chardonnay 2015

This bottle completely delivers according to expectations. A Meursault Villages which could compete easily with other more famous parcels and producers. The hype around Boisson Vadot is completely logic. Reminds me of Coche Dury but as they work closely together this again is logic. Big wine which will age well. Beautiful ! — 3 days ago

Nuits Saint-Georges Pinot Noir 1978

First bottle corked, second had the cork pushed into the bottle and noted when capsule was removed—it was dead. Final bottle was perfect—excellent old Nuits with iron and sous bois. — 9 days ago

Bourgogne Chardonnay 2016

This far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a basic burg blanc and got a very beautiful, layered one instead. — 12 days ago

@Severn Goodwin I was honestly just looking for a casual white to sip while watching TV and ended up pulling out something not at all basic. I wish I had saved it for a meal but whatever I still thoroughly enjoyed it!

Oenotheque Les Chétillons Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay 2012

First and youngest champagne of my champ/crab open house. A blast of tight, crisp minerality that almost vibrates with acidity. Such fun to sip, such a sin to drink so young. Amazing complexity, vibrant tiny mousse. A real bargain and a harbinger of the greatness of the 2012 vintage. — 6 days ago

What a nose. Stunning depth, floral, candied Apple, lime blossom, sick mineral, round and so lifted. Insane purity. Smells like a cloud. Like a mist. Palate is wow. Superb elegance. So deep. Long. So elegant. — 9 days ago

Le Fiacre du Pape Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2018

The 2018 is out! The 2018 is out! On the downside, the price went up $5 to $25. On the plus side this is the best in several vintages so stock up! Lots of lush cherry fruit backed up by tar, mushroom, and leather. Just fantastic. As an aside, this is one of my favorite go-to wines and one of the best values out there each year hands down. But the low ratings just baffle me. Rate the wine quality my friends, not whether the wine is your thing. — 7 days ago

Réserve Oubliée Grand Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne

Wow - somehow the extra year and cork aging give this the nutty, honied character and richness of well-aged Champagne while still preserving plenty of freshness and minerality. Really marvelous - one of my favorite blanc de blancs (or Champagne of any kind) in a while. Late 2019 - not sure if this is the 2012-base lot or something newer. — 6 days ago

Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

Brisset

Nose so good you wish your lungs had an exit so you could inhale nonstop.

Palate. Dense. Almost sticky. Unctuous. Great fruit. Sweet fruit. Almost tropical. Honey. Clings to the palate. Very well made.

At 3 hours almost like this sherry like butteriness. Not oxidized but the controlled richness. Becoming godlike epic level insane.

Nose is nutty

Volnay Pinot Noir 2017

Les Epenots.... From one of the big time up and coming young winemakers. Intensely aromatic, powerful and energetic. Both black and red fruits, exotic spices and Pommard muscle. Took some time to open up but showed itself nicely after a little over an hour. A bottle that is certain to improve with patience. — 12 days ago

Cuvée de Réserve Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

. Apparently different from the Cuvée du Reserve though little info available online - after going to check, staff in the store where I bought it (which was also selling the Cuvée du Reserve for substantially less, and the Oubliee for substantially more) told me this is 100% reserve wine as opposed to 50% for the Cuvée du Reserve but didn’t seem too sure.
Overall it did have nice stuffing but next I’m curious to try it next to the standard version
