Gift from Maggie. Hints of pear. Nice and bright. Delish. — 6 months ago
Yellow with aromas of apple, lemon, herbs, wet stone, smoke, and petrol. On the bud, lemon, apple, pear, and a nice acidity. Finish is longer and full bodied. Great with our Grilled Swordfish. Aging nicely! — 6 months ago
Pop and pour. A majestic lite gold color. On the nose: crisp apples, lemon, almonds, floral, and honey. Taste: creamy, beautiful texture and nice acidity wine with apple, pear, lemon zest, saline, flint, and a minerally lime peel medium plus finish. YUM! Maturing gracefully and time to go. — 7 months ago

Been awhile since I’ve had this one. Always consistently good.
Beautiful mousse, bruised red apple & Bosc pear, underripe pineapple flesh, blood orange, quince, nougat, hints of white peach, white spice-ginger, whipped cream, yeasty bread dough, sea spray, speckled chalk bits, grey volcanics, limestone, withering yellow lilies/flowers, crisp acidity, well tensioned-structured, well balanced and elegant finish that last two-minutes.

Pale yellow color. Aromas of stone fruit, white flowers and citrus. Very interesting flavor melange of pear, lemon, orange and pineapple. Slight stony note on the long lasting finish. Very crisp acidity and an interesting slightly creamy texture. Elegant, fresh, crunchy and lively! Very solid for its price point. — 10 months ago
This wine is testimony to great California Chardonnay that is also rare in style. No oak not malolactic fermentation. Hence the longevity. This 2011 is showing a bit of age with a deeper straw color than previous bottles from the same year. Still, only a hint of oxidation in the glass and on the nose. The pear and quince have evolved to a bit of caramel and butterscotch. Delicious to drink and I admit this might be the upper limit. I will drink remaining 2012 and 13’s in the next few months. — 4 months ago
A wine from Jorge Ordóñez and his winemaking team. Pale lemon color with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and melon with lemon citrus, consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 8 months ago
Medium lemon color with aromas of tropical and stone fruit with citrus and toasty oak notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and peach, lemon zest, vanilla oak and wet stone notes. Nice balance with tangy acidity on long creamy finish ending with fruit, oak and rich nutty mineral character. Classic, very nice! Needs a little cellaring. — 9 months ago
Melon & pear in the nose. Melon, pear & peach in the palate. Paired better with Parmesan than Brie. — a year ago
For what it’s trying to do, and at the price, it’s really fucking good.
Dry with some nice suddle peachy sweetness on the front. — 6 months ago
Quite a light to mid lemon in colour for its 11 years of age. Nutty (almond and cashew) aromas. Oak has integrated. The palate shows those same nutty notes together with that trademark pear character with white nectarine. Overall still youthful. My remaining 3 bottles will easily see out this decade. — 5 months ago

Something for the Jasper Hill Farms, “Willoughby.”
I am not much for Brut these days. Prefer Extra Brut. But I had this 375ml left before I shifted gear’s.
Having said that, this is still very sound and consistent. Think I enjoyed it more once upon a time. It seems sweeter now having a steady stream of EB.
Nice mousse. Lemon, lime pulp w/ a bit flesh, Bosc pear, red apple, yellow stone fruits, tropical fruits, quince, ginger, whipped creams, graham cracker, nougat, light & soft volcanic minerals, nice chalk powder, sea fossils, gentle saline, yellow flowers & lilies with hints of jasmine, pleasant, lively acidity, good balance, structure-tension & a smartly polished elegant finish that lasts 90 seconds and long sets on white spice-ginger.
Excellent pair w/ Key Lime Tart.
