Medium ruby garnet , quite light garnet , terracotta rim . Quite spicy , tobacco , earthy , sous bois tinged nose . On the palate quite strict , slightly lean red fruited sous bois , tobacco , earthy coffee tinged. Refreshing high acidity , slightly gritty , and drying tannin . Ok length and balance . Showing quite well , at peak, now and over the next 5 years . — a month ago
Color of deep purple with lighter shades on the rim. Nice tears. Nose of ample fragrance of currants. minty, vanilla, oaky, sweet note, and some more dark fruits. Taste is mouthful and chewy, quite sweet mixed with some spice, acidity, tart, strawberry, and some more vanilla. Aftertaste shows more strawberry, tangy, and a bit marginal tannin. On par. Like all the Freakshow wine, a bit too sweet for me. — 3 months ago

Bajo tanino. — 3 months ago
Garnet core , terracotta rim . Spiced red fruit undergrowth , touch of brown sugar , grafite , tobacco , dried mushroom, touch of smoke . On the palate quite elegant red fruited , dried cranberry , red currant , still very much alive , just enough acidity. Slightly short on the finish , but with a round palate and a slightly sweet , brown sugar tinged finish . Still very much alive and enjoyable . Better than expected — 16 days ago
This 5 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder is delicious right now, although still young.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong fruity nose of cedar, black fruits and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice complexity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, peppercorn and light cola.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Tangy and rich, yet elegant. Needs a few hours to open up properly, so be patient.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years, and has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot. Aged in (50% new) French oak barrels for 30 months. Only 1,200 bottles produced.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

This is a really nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak in Napa Valley. Fruit forward and spicy. Rich and elegant.
Still very young, but already delicious. A good quality wine that will continue to improve in the next 10 years.
Tangy and entertaining with nice complexity. A good sipping wine.

Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, wood, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, licorice, dark chocolates, black tea and black pepper.

This 35 year old is still drinking beautifully. This Second Growth Bordeaux is nicely balanced and complex.
Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 10+ years.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 4 hours. I did not decant it, but let it open up in the bottle.
Wine Spectator 96 points.
A good food wine that I paired with beef brisket. Gorgeous.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

The 1999 Latour has a dark garnet color with little aging on the rim. The nose is closed initially and demands coaxing, eventually revealing blackberry, cedar and light pencil-shaving aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, displaying some secondary notes of clove, white pepper and a distinct earthiness that comes through on the finish. [Post-script: this is one of the few vintages I identified correctly!] Tasted blind from double magnum at a 20-year retrospective at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2024)

Medium ruby , slighter narrower ruby / pink rim , a little less bright . Slightly deeper , darker fruits , blueberry, violets , with scorched earth , mineral and grafite . On the palate , more intensity and power perhaps , more noticeable though still velvety tannin , dark fruits , mineral , saline , fresh cigar. Lovely fresh acidity , balanced alcohol . Long saline , mineral tinged, slightly toasty finish . Needs time obviously , but will be one of the great wines from a great vintage in 20 years, just wait — 7 days ago
