Age 30 has 1995 Latour is in an amazing place, finally, fully open and giving wafting unmistakable Pauillac perfume, integrated and seamless and liquid velvet in the mouth with melting tannins and an explosively long finale. My fav first growth 💯

5/2/21 Tasting group. My 3rd, group 5th. Savory, loads of cherry.

Fine moment for consumption. Dark berries, expressive, coffee, pencil lead, complex. Long, fresh and sweet tannins.

Pure red fruits and wet leaves.

@Kirk Alexander going ham. Soft inviting tannins, Merlot is shining through and an altogether harmonious classy wine. Cigar, ripe plum and cedar chips.

Complex nose with black fruit, wet forest floor, graphite and crushed slate. Complexity carries through the palate, however finish borderline flat.

Superb vintage! Strong with the cedar, earth, and leather up front, black and stewed red fruits on the long finish. Very well balanced.

My wine of the year! What a cab should taste like, power, finesse and so expressive.

Full of power. Dark cherry, cigar box, pencil lead. Long, gripping finish. Has a long life ahead.
