Uvaggio Coste della Sesia Rosso Nebbiolo Blend 2020

JKT
9.1

At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Unusual blend with fruit from high up by the foothills of Alps but microclimate warm enough for palm trees. A rather rich and round texture and wouldn’t have guessed Nebbiolo. — a month ago

Coste & Fossati Dolcetto d'Alba 2019

Plum, berry and some pleasant earthy notes, nice balance, some structure still, and a long, lingering finish, really pleasant Dolcetto!! — 24 days ago

Alice et Olivier De Moor

Bourgogne-Chitry Chardonnay 2018

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. A pale lemon color in the glass with barely visible little green flecks. Lemon zest and apples of different varieties on the nose. Limestone and honey with a touch of sugar. Minerals and chamomile. So very sexy.

Lithe, lively, and lovely. Medium plus acidity with a ton of character and elegance. Very pure and fresh, clean. There’s a hint of slivered almond initially in the mouth followed by butterscotch and nectarines. Plenty of citrus notes here. A long finishing leaves you wanting more. A truly compelling Burgundy.

Pessac-Léognan Blanc White Bordeaux Blend 2022

2022 vintage. The website didn't update for the 2022 vintage yet, but according to Jeff Leve (the Wine Cellar Insider often has more recent info than the official websites), it is a blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Sémillon. In any case, it is a beauty. Pineapple and white peach go hand in hand with floral and mineral aromas. It has a very round mouthfeel, but very fresh at the same time. Probably the finest value in Pessac-Léognan white Cru Classés these days. — a month ago
