Popped and poured; enjoyed over two days. Best on Day 2 after it brightened up. The 2008 pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of blackberry compote, coffee, Werther’s Chocolate, tobacco leaf, leather, teriyaki, demi-glace, and dry earth. On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finish is long and slightly savory. This is delicious and has to be one of the great values in Ribera del Duero. Drink now through 2032+. — 9 days ago
Nice Spanish Monastrell, bold fresh wine we had with a Michigan Upper Peninsula beef and rutabaga pasty. — 25 days ago
Excellent. SAQ $31 — 9 days ago
3.6 Wonderful, very tasty and smooth Rioja Reserve. This Muga is one of our favorites. On sale for $27.99. — 4 days ago
2015 vintage. Hoo boy, is this delivering! Bigger tannins and more concentration throughout. Still a baby tho. Park it at a subterranean level in the cellar for a 15-20 spot. If you just gotta drink it in the next half-decade, you're best off decanting at lunchtime for dinnertime presentation. 5.1.24. — 6 days ago

Very dark Ruby, purple edges with floral fruit aromas & floral spice. On the palate blueberry & sweet black cherry flavors, savory with great mouthfeel, 24 months aging on French & American oak, the 70% Monastrell & 30% Cab Sauv has fine soft tannins, well integrated with oak, long finish ending with mineral tones, Will age well! — a month ago
