Moulin Touchais

La Roche Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2020

Bought this 2020 cru at $50. While in Cleveland. Was assured it was worth every penny it and it is outstanding. Crushed dark fruits including fig with spices. Juniper, pine, camphor oil, leather and bitter orange peel. Truly one of the biggest and most complex Moulin a Vents I’ve ever had. A wintry wine for roasted foods. Has easily another 5 years ahead of it. — 5 days ago

Château Gros Moulin

Côtes de Bourg Malbec Blend

Vintage 2010 | 15 y old and still fruit, always a bit sturdy - which I like - good balanced for the long haul and now drinking perfect. If all Bordeaux would be this good… paired with a beef schnitzel and red cabbage apple mint cole slaw. — 5 months ago

Nice crisp Gamay. Dark fruits. Some earthiness which I like! Having this in Paris at Freddy’s! — 2 months ago

9.1

very pleasant, elegant, all kinds of cherry, raspberry and red currant on nose, some red florals, spice and an herbal note. great varietal typicity w/out carbonics - legit, classic style, has many more years ahead, mild tannins and decent acidity make this versatile for food options — 5 months ago

@ESF, I am a fan of this wine, cannot recall if I’ve had the 2019, but often find this cuvée on the discount shelves 4-6 years after the vintage, and it never seems to disappoint. Cheers!

Domaine du Moulin (Hervé Villemade)

Cheverny Pinot Noir Gamay 2023

Likely from Williston Park Wines and Spirits. Cranberry juice, a hint of spice like nutmeg maybe, vanilla, wow. — 4 months ago

Vieilles Vignes de 1903 Moulin-à-Vent Gamay

Having this 2022 with a Montreal grilled pork chop and a fresh local tomato basil mozzarella salad and it has been one of the perfect pairings of all time. The wine is a little young but comes into its own with the pork. Black petrified forest stones with just picked raspberries and tart morello cherries. A hint of Bret in the background which enh the interest without ever competing with the fruit and wet stones. Outstanding with at least 4 years ahead if it — 6 months ago
