Straight up, damn satisfying Bordeaux for about 20$, & nice drinking window now; bay leaf, crushed red currants, coriander, some cassis on both nose & palate; a bit more plummier on palate, & nice razors edge between fruit & chalky, dry tannins, which makes me think there’s at least a few years left ( if not more).

If anything, more animalistic, some merde on the nose. Luscious yet earthy.

N: Tobacco, gravel, tar, coffee, wet earth,
Black plums.
P: Black plum, dirt, tobacco,(maduro),mid weight but voluptuous,
Chewy. Really nice.

Second day open.
N: Funky Sanguineous , Cassis, plums, graphite, soil.
P: Black fruits, licorice, tar, gravel. Sandy tannins stand up and make you take notice.
Performed nicely on day two, lots of stuffing.

We slo-oxed for 90 min.After 11/2 hours , much more generous. Black/Red fruits. Sappy.
P: lots of tar, nicotine, black cherry.
Really well integrated tannins w ample acidity. Perfect w a cast iron Ribeye.
