There is pear, hay, lemon peel and a floral note on the nose. The palate is well designed with a strong acid drive, a bright pear note all along, a good grip and a tiny sweet touch (could it be some residual sugar?). The finish is made of pear and that lemon peel note that we encountered on the nose, bringing in a slight and elegant bitter note. That's fresh and pleasant, a different take on chardonnay. — 10 days ago
Well balanced though more oak on the nose than I expected. Fruit still showed magnificently. Worth the mid-$20 price point. — 9 days ago
Beautiful 2014, rich and full yet with backbone and acidity, buttery and honeyed scents and flavours but with no excess and still finesse and elegance.
Magnifique 2014, de profil assez riche et large sans excès avec de l’acidité pour supporter le tout, de la finesse, vraiment très bien. 90-91 — 15 days ago
2021/5/7-9 with meunière of shitabirame, etc. A totally different thing from the straight Roche Vineuse - initially there’s a fair bit of oak but with time and air it integrates nicely. There’s citrus, white flowers, buttered toast, and some cool stones. The palate balances tangy acidity and savor. I’d love to see how this continues to evolve. — 3 days ago
