This is a full bodied Croatian wine made 100% from Teran grapes. The nose is interesting, with a really strong oregano flavor with notes of dark cherry, cassis, and blueberry. The same flavors come through onto the palate with a more complex savory mix of thyme, oregano, and earthy cloves with bitter chocolate hints. There’s great acidity and saturation of flavors on the palate with medium+ powdery tannins. Finish is moderate in length but doesn’t have much complexity. — 5 days ago

Created in 1981, Terre Alte is considered one of Italy's most prestigious white wines, blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon grapes, estate-grown at Rosazzo in the historic Terre Alte vineyards. Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and wonderful floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and slight lemon citrus with honey floral notes and lively acidity. Inky black with hardly any ageing on the rim.
Needs a bit of time to blow the age stink off… the shows ripe dark fruit, some kirsch, but also some age sowing with balsamic notes, a bit leather & roast.
On the palate this is not shy, full bodied, quite powerful, with still quite a tannic frame. Big, rich & ageing… which actually makes it interesting.

Medium ruby color with a slight orange rim. Aromas of red fruit, leather, forest floor, orange zest and smokey oak. Flavors of red and black cherries and plums, tobacco, porcini mushrooms, black licorice, black olives and earthy spices. Long and expressive finish. Bold acidity and chewy tannins.
