Reminded me a bit of a white Burgundy with some age to it. Golden yellow with citrus and a touch of saline. Loved every drop. — 9 days ago

Grange Hermitage Bin 95 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Pretty opaque, violet rim . Deep spice filled nose , blackberry , blackcurrant , dark cherry , floral hints . Lovely and expansive on the palate , dark blackberry and dark cherry , chocolate richness , but dry extract with marked but fine tannin and balanced acidity . Very long and filling . Nutmeg , and a meaty character after a while, with an oyster shell , mineral finish . This actually shows quite well , it’s enormous potential is clear , with time in the glass it does change quite a lot and invites you back for another try. For such a full bodied , full blooded wine it has so much completeness and harmony , there is no excess sweetness and the alcohol is balanced and seemlessly integrated . I am glad a tried it now , though I would imagine it’s best days to be 25-40 years in the future . @ Ben Ean , Hunter Valley . — 2 months ago

Grange Bin 95 Shiraz 1998

Deep and dense. This wine even at 26 years old needed a lot of time. Decanted and enjoyed over 5 hours. It truly hit its stride after hour 4. Spicy, rich dark fruit and lots of grip. — a month ago

Grange le Duc Bourgogne Passetoutgrains Gamay Pinot Noir 2020

Popped and poured; no formal notes. The 2020 “Grange le Duc” has some real Volnay sensibilities with lovely, elegant fruit and forest floor with a taut structure. This responded very well to air and I expect this will flesh out with some cellar time. Drinking well now with some patience and will continue to do so through 2030. — 4 months ago

Grange South Australia Shiraz 2002

Poured into a decanter about 45min prior to dinner. In the glass, the 2002 Grange pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core. Medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous, with powerful dark brambles, baked blueberries, black pepper, coffee, purple flowers, leather, umami, tilled earth, Flintstones vitamins and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is extraordinarily long and rich. A remarkable wine and I can see why people say that Grange needs forever to calm down. Drink now with some patience as it really started to tell more after some air and it should be awesome through 2037. An awesome pairing with a Morgan Ranch Wagyu Tomahawk. My very first Grange and, hopefully, not my last! — 21 days ago
