Lovely after 2 hours open. Balanced black fruit, tannins under control. Clearly has a long way to go but it’s drinking well. My first #secondgrowth — 3 days ago
Classic nose with black currant and cassis, some damson plum and notes of cedar wood & mint. Fresh, pure and very seductive & enticing.
Medium bodied in the palate, very elegant and with great balance. The tannins are velvety fine but still give a nice frame to the dark fruit. Juicy & fresh and with good length.
This is in a very nice place right now and is drinking beautifully.
Such a classic Margaux. — 21 days ago
Tough vintage only means that Aligre transcended the vintage even more than normal. Killer nose. Such pure fruit. Rhubarb city. Strawberry, plum skin, cassis, but barely cassis and gorgeous light mid to early season cherry. Smoke, mint and more. Stunning fruit clarity on the attack and terrific concentration and depth. Chewy and tannic and finish is clipped for now but just opened and needs much time to unwind but good bones. So juicy and pure. Wow. The tannins are a combo of very 13 and very aligre. I love them so much. So sappy, dry, noble and pure. This has 50 years ahead of it. — 6 days ago
Special occasion wine (Father’s day and William shooting level par for the first time! 🏌🏼♀️)
Smooth, rich dark chocolate, nutty, leathery and blackberry (feedback from the table).
Solid. Didn’t disappoint. — 3 days ago
Oouh, the 2006 is drinking so nicely now!
Classic left bank nose, with black currant, damson plum, cedar wood, but also some wet earth & turned leaves creeping in. And just a hint of cigar. Savoury, juicy, enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate, with beautiful purity & nice depth, the tannins dusty fine, mellowing already, the acidity adding a juicy kick. Savoury, poised with quite some elegance and huge drinkability.
Exactly what I imagine when I think of a left bank Bordeaux.
Drinking beautifully right now & quite delish! — 4 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Beautiful nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, tobacco, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, herbs, earth, Mediterranean spices and peppercorn.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, currants, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, peppercorn, tobacco leaf and black tea.
This Second Growth Margaux is delicious. Nicely balanced and elegant. Fruit forward and complex. Rich, but not extracted.
This 7 year old Cabernet Sauvignon based blend is starting to drink beautifully right now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 20 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Loved the complexity on the nose.
A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Medium deep ruby , thin garnet rim . Quite toasty blackberry and cassis , spicy with touches of coffee and Cacau, earthy notes . On the palate this has quite good rounded blackberry and spicy blackcurrant , dried cherry on the palate, quite sweet fruit profile , with a toasty , coffee tinged finish . Ok acidity , slightly warming alcohol and quite rounded tannins . Drinking well now and will continue to show well over the next 5-10 years . Quite a good example from this vintage for a second wine , juicy and fun to drink — 4 days ago
