Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend

Third and best bottle yet. Lean, funky, red fruits.

Faded fig compote, dusted cherry. Round mid palate with shallow inflection. Lovely herbaceous quality with hints of earth and black tar.

Lovely, fully resolved claret. Mature garnet. Sweet red cherries, parched earth, violets, dried morels. Bright acidity and great length.

Amazing cedar nose with complex mouth feel. Great finish. A wow wine

Nice color; older Bordeaux. Rich flavors and finish.

A little floral, fresh crushed vine, spice, beautifully elegant.

This is why we have wine cellars. 50 years sequestered with a funkiness on immediate bouquet but quickly dissipates to a complex berry, smoke and leather with a hint of cassis. On the palate plenty of elegant fruit and rounded tannins with a little menthol and resin. Not bad with burgers tonight.
