2012 HdV Hyde vineyard Chardonnay from Carneros.
Lovely lemon nuisances in the nose with vanillin oak overlay. Creamy rich Chardonnay flavors beautifully balanced with moderate vanillin oak flavors. Had with crab cakes. — 2 days ago
Lovely gold color with aromas of honey, melons, and butterscotch. In the mouth it is creamy and palate covering with intense lingering fruit with butterscotch and honey overtones. The flavors last for minutes. If there is a fault it lacks acidity and has slightly more residual sugar to be in balance with the acidity . In its youth it was light and balanced; a great food wine. Now it may go better with cheesecake and desserts. None the less an excellent wine. — 7 months ago
Lovely dark red color with aromas of black raspberries. In the mouth incredible intense red fruits with lingering aftertaste. Tannin is integrated with the fruit. Wonderful wine!! — 7 months ago
Light gold color with lemon and oak notes on the nose. Excellent minerality and Chardonnay fruit flavors on the entry with lingering fruit on the palate but as it airs oak predominates which I don’t find unpleasant. The aftertaste lasts a full 40 seconds. — 7 months ago
Medium red color with blackberries on the nose. Rich lingering flavors and long aftertaste. The merlot is showing beautifully. — 7 months ago
