Tiny 4000 bottle production growers champagne. A lively fruity taste, dry but not too dry. Slightly hectic bead but very, very good.

Quiet evening with my Love, this bottle, beef with grilled mushrooms and caramelized onions, and cathartic conversation after a hectic week. Soft tannins with smooth fruit flavors and velvety finish. — 8 years ago
Just arrived home after a long week away and my truly better half had this open and waiting for me. Instantly, stress turned to SMILES! This is drinking really well right now. Crushed black and blue fruit, cedar, fresh tobacco, bay leaves, earthy minerals, ripe tannins and some black pepper. Not typically a huge Cade fan, but this Howell Mountain bottling shows a nice sense of place. So much better than when I tasted it on release. Thank you @Diana L for slowing down a hectic week. 🍷 — 9 years ago

Work has been hectic. Needed some me time tonight. F it (or no, F is also very good, but in this case I "I" 'd it. I I'd it. Id it? Oh F it you know what I mean!!!) Orin Swift letter (location) bottles are some of the best value bottles out there. Italy doesn't disappoint - $16 well-spent. Other me time highlights tonight: sushi, massage w/ a focus on occipitalis (oh yes....), my new fav JT jam on the radio, and being giddy about Chelsea's new Netflix show premier tonight. Oh, and this post was brought to you by the letter I — 10 years ago

Really splurging on a Wednesday with this one, but I had a hectic day. Intense minerality on the nose and green apple and lime on the first sip. Some underripe pear. Clean. 90% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay. The sharp acidity and prickly bubbles are great with broccoli cheddar quiche and a side salad. Late night Friday night dinner @Cornerstone. Too many people drinking on Peel Street, the loud honking of cabs trying to make their way down Hollywood, and we were tucked away having another wonderful meal thanks to Shane Osborn’s kitchen (thanks, Nick!). The wagyu. The salmon (how is salmon SO GOOD in this town?). Oh and octopus and carpaccio as well. This is their house red. So easy to drink. At the right temperature. It was a great way to close out a hectic week. — 6 years ago
Mild, slightly citrusy with a solid foundation of leather and chalk-tinged berries and vanilla. A fast unwind and reset after a hectic evening of cooking. — 8 years ago
This is a restrained and elegant Riesling. I didn't take notes on night one... too hectic. But on night 2 this was actually a bit more complex and together. Nose shows beautiful honeyed peach (must have been some botrytis) and a bit of slate. Rich and minerally in the mouth. Long finish. The richness almost hides that it's dry. — 10 years ago
Great way to end a hectic week! — 11 years ago
Nose has ripe plum, mashed blackberries, dark chocolate powder, strawberry jam on leather, molasses, molasses cookies, wet soil, nutmeg and vanilla bean.
Palate has blackberry compote, black cherry reduction, partially dried plum, wet baking spice, wet+dry leather, dark chocolate shavings, (light) oak/vanilla influence remains. Extended finish, really starting to pick up incredibly at 3-4H in the decanter.
Paired with Allen Bros. ribcap (USDA Prime version) tonight, unfortunately our grill has a 4ft. snow drift in front presently so the best I can muster was a super hot cast iron pan from the oven, then onto stove with lots of butter and in 7m total we had beef to die for...Which I had some competition for dining this evening.
This bottle was a very generous gift from my West Coast brother @David T from earlier in the year. My work travel schedule was hectic and never found a good time to settle in on a weekend with the wine or pairing, until now. (I've lost track of the amount of COVID tests I've done in the past 5M, but all have been negative 🙏 to date.) A fabulous gift to enjoy now that I'm hopefully relaxing for the next 2w...

Cherry, thick tannic and juicy. A delicious wine after a hectic day driving from Provence to Nice. Purchased at the winery😃 — 10 years ago
This is a pretty good red blend. It goes down smooth. There is a slight after taste, but it's not bitter. Overall, it had a great taste, blended well, and it's quite nice to crack open after a hectic day. — 11 years ago
