I know '11 was an off year in Napa, but I fully believe supreme talent is always evident, and this wine is an excellent example. If I wouldn't of seen the black purple color and legs that never ended, I would have guessed Zin based off the smell. This juice is rich, but not over bearing. Smelt of blackberry pie, vanilla, crushed cherries. Tasted like a perfect medley of blueberries and blackberries and had very nice structure to it. For $40'ish/bottle, yes please.

A bit tight with good structure and pretty but restrained black fruits. Needs time but I'm not sure it will get it from me this evening. Too tasty for that. #Sundaynightwine

What a fantastic blend! Copious amounts of Rutherford dust, black fruits, coffee, and licorice on the nose. On the palate sweeter dark fruits, molasses, fig, and mild clove.

Only comment I can make here is that it's a well made wine...

2011- not my favorite. Flat, no mouthfeel. We have a few bottles to go through so perhaps this becomes pricey sangria.

Yet another blend that reaffirms my desire for these reds. I prefer blends for the complex mix of earthy tones and hints of fruit. This one didn't disappoint. Definitely on my recommended list.
